Kafayat has been about a bit.
Her one-woman shows has toured internationally including venues like Konstepidemin Göteborg, The Harbour in Bray. Nationally at Crucible Theatre Sheffield, Cambridge Junction, Lighthouse Centre for the Arts Poole, Vortex Jazz Club London, Centre For Live Art Yorkshire (CLAY) Leeds, Tetley Art Gallery Leeds, amongst others. She has featured in social-impact campaign Ads across billboards and the Web, on award-winning TV programmes on BBC 1, Channel 4, and more recently on BBC 2.
‘In all my work, the aim is to stimulate debate about the prospects of living humanely while exploring the building and rebuilding of our higher consciousness, and is very much a reflection of the times, our shared stories, spaces, and lives. I make site-responsive and intimate time-based work both live with the audience as witness, and in isolation with my camera and my #vulva as witness’.
